We believe in the next generation of golfers.
PGA Jr. League and Opportunity Leagues are removing barriers for families to create new memories through the game of golf while instilling a meaningful introduction to the game of a lifetime.
We envision a world where golf is accessible for every child, everywhere – regardless of their background or circumstance. Through PGA Jr. League and Opportunity Leagues, the PGA of America REACH Foundation is committed to opening the game to all by providing wrap-around support to young golfers in high-need communities.
The creation of this endowment is a testament to Dan’s legacy in the golf industry, and stands as a beacon of hope for aspiring young golfers — assuring them that financial assistance need not stifle their dreams. His spirit will live on in every swing, every putt and moment in between shared on the course and beyond.
May Dan’s legacy continue to inspire all of us to push the game and the industry forward.
PGA Jr. League is shifting the way youth golf is learned and played, including the adoption of league play, team golf, and scoring with flags and points. Behind each and every PGA Jr. League Team is a PGA of America Coach providing a safe, caring and organized environment for every child to become a golfer.
The Murphy Family Opportunity Fund is leading the way for PGA Jr. League Scholarships and Opportunity Leagues. The endowment ensures that five Opportunity Leagues will serve 200 girls and boys each year, forever, including one League in the Murphys’ home community of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thanks to the Murphy Family, PGA Jr. League is on its way to changing thousands more lives through the joy, values, and community of golf.
